Simon Stricker (Flip, Bones Wheels, Bones Bearings, Silver Trucks, Mob Grip, Shorty’s Hardware) and Pascal Duschletta went on a Red Bull trip to Japan to film a very nice short clip in the Mega City of Tokyo.
Unfortunately they didn’t had the chance to skate a lot because of rain and the securities which busted them at every single spot they tried to skate.
Everybody was talking about this project. Now it was time for it. Arto Saari( Flip Skateboards) got the permission to start an unique project in a cooperation with Helsinki Airport. At first he choose a group of skaters to skate the spots inside the Helsinki Airport. At the end it was a mixture of skaters from Japan, Russia, Denmark , Finland and three Flip Skateboards riders like Matt Berger( Flip Skateboards), Curren Caples (Flip Skateboards, Independent Trucks, Bones Bearings, Ricta Wheels) and Louie Lopez( Independent Trucks, Ricta Wheels, Mob Grip, Bones Bearings). The result was an unique clip with an amount of impressive tricks inside the airport. As you can see, a cooperation between skaters and a permissive airport can always bring a great result.
It does not happen very often that I laugh out loud while watching a skate clip. In Matt Berger’s (Flip Skateboards, Bones Wheels) recruited I couldn’t stop. Not because of silly things but of pure disbelieve and amazement of the level of tricks he stomps.
Tonight’s Matt’s big night! SLS Super Crown Finale is starting in a couple of hours. Matt made it straight into the finals in his first year in Street League!
Wish you good luck tonight, buddy!
Louie Lopez (Flip Skateboards, Bones Bearings, Independent Truck, Ricta Wheels, Mob Grip) recently was in Switzerland with the Flip Team just a few weeks ago. Besides being a very nice guy, he’s obviously ripping like a devil. Check out the raw footage of his part from the Flip”3″ Video and get the amazed by how hard some tricks look without music.
Simon Stricker (Flip, Bones Wheels, Bones Bearings, Silver Trucks, Mob Grip, Shorty’s Hardware) is a very productive fella and he just releases another leftover part. I guess not many people would consider these tricks as leftovers. If I would have been filming all these tricks, the clip would have been called “after dark bangers” 🙂
Here we go. Flip Skateboards decided to make a short video to introduce their great riders Alec Majerus( Flip Skateboards), Louie Lopez( Flip Skateboards, Independent Trucks, Ricta Wheels, Mob Grip, Bones Bearings) and Curren Caples( Flip Skateboards, Independent Trucks, Ricta Wheels, Mob Grip). All three are great skater and everybody of them has a different style. Those guys are definitely the future of skateboarding.
This spring, Vans Switzerland sent some of their riders off to Sicily on a skate trip. Simon Stricker (Flip, Bones Wheels, Bones Bearings, Silver Trucks, Mob Grip, Shorty’s Hardware), Sven Kilchemann (Bones Bearings, Bones Wheels), Martino Cattaneo (Independent Trucks, Bones Wheels, Bones Bearings), Yari Copt, Sergio Minnici and local Claudio Majorana were ripping the island.
Check out the Flip Tour Re-Cap on That Noise:
The Flip Amateur who unfortunately couldn’t make it to Switzerland, because of an injury, just turned Pro. Alec Majerus is one of the most talented kids out there and he has no doubt a bright future in skateboarding. His board will be available soon in the good skate shops in Switzerland.
Next week, Wednesday (9 July 14) the Flip Skateboards Team is visiting Switzerland.
If you want to meet them, come to DOODAH in Zürich or to the Skatepark Allmend for a session.
Arto Saari, Tom Penny, Curren Caples, Louie Lopez, Matt Berger, Ben Nordberg and Denny Pham will be signing Posters, Decks, T-Shirt, Titts… in DOODAH from 2 onwards. Make sure to bring your Flip Deck to sign 😉
Louie Lopez(Flip Skateboards, Independent Trucks, Ricta Wheels, Bones Bearings , Mob Griptate) is member of the Flip Skateboards team since some years. He grow up pretty fast and found the right way of skateboarding for him. Mixing bowl riding, street spots and some big rails Louie also didn`t foget to take an eye on his style. After a long time on Globe he became member of the Converse Skate Team. Here is the welcome clip for his new sponsor.
This is next Level stuff.
Alec Majerus (Flip Skateboards) got himself a Berrics recruited and guess what? He freakin’ kills it.
No doubt that Alec is fitting into the Big shoes that the old Flip Pros were wearing and he’ll be a worthy successor to Arto, Geoff, Tom and all the other Flip legends.
Keep an eye out for Alec, there are big things to come…
