Pro-Tec

Protection for Progression!

Pro-Tec is the original. Founded in 1973 in Southern California, the brand is the undisputed pioneer in professional action sports protection. It all started in the legendary backyard pools of the 70s, as skaters looked for ways to push their limits safely. Pro-Tec provided the answer with the first-ever helmet specifically designed for skateboarding—a milestone that changed the scene forever.

The unmistakable design—led by the iconic “Classic Certified” and the retro-inspired “Full Cut”—has shaped the look of generations. But Pro-Tec doesn’t just rely on its heritage: By combining timeless style with cutting-edge impact technology (such as MIPS systems and certified EPS liners), the brand continues to set the gold standard today. Whether in the skatepark, on a BMX, on the trails, in the snow, or in the water—Pro-Tec stands for authentic protection that makes no compromises on aesthetics. From the legends of the early days to today’s Olympic athletes: wearing Pro-Tec means trusting over 50 years of experience.
